Day Three at Bangalore Fashion Week moves from student rigour to ornate occasion wear
BFW’s Day Three moved through sculpted evening wear, layered contrasts, restrained drape and rich surface work. The line-up gathered student presentations, contemporary tailoring and occasion wear into a day of shifting textures and colour.
Bengaluru, 17 October 2026 — Day Three at the 27th edition of Bangalore Fashion Week unfolded as a study in contrasts, beginning with student-led precision and moving towards increasingly ornate registers. Institute of Fashion Technology Kerala set the tone with sculpted evening wear in satin, sheer layers and ruffled surfaces, where brown, ivory and soft blue carried corsetry, fluid skirts and architectural drape into a refined evening frame.
LISAA School of Design Bangalore followed with a collection shaped by clean lines, layered construction and a quiet tension between structure and softness. The mood remained controlled, but the language shifted from the earlier fluidity into sharper, more deliberate form, creating a measured pause before the line-up moved into more relaxed and luminous territory.
KHADDAR by Shreya brought white and ivory forms touched with gold, balancing sculpted shoulders with easy drape and quiet surface detail. The palette ran warm and restrained, while the silhouettes hold close to the body before opening into softer lines. Pooja Bindhya then introduced saturated colour and luminous textures, with fluid volume and embellished surfaces lending the day a more decorative pulse without losing contemporary clarity.
DALMA by Shalini Ganguly widened the range further through layered silhouettes, sheer movement and bold colour contrasts. Ivory translucence gave way to graphic cape dressing and embroidered red tailoring, creating a sequence that felt more expressive and textural. The collection carried print and surface work with a sense of movement, while still keeping the line clean enough for the eye to follow each shift in material and shape.
Acer Lifestyle redirected the mood towards travel-led tailoring, pairing luggage with polished separates and evening silhouettes. Corsetry, denim and fluid black and lilac dresses introduced a streamlined urban finish, offering a practical counterpoint to the more decorative looks earlier in the day. Libas by Riyaz Gangji closed the line-up with richly worked occasion wear, moving between bridal red, ivory sherwanis and darker menswear tailoring, bringing Day Three to a dense and ceremonial close.
