GOLDEN SUTRA by Geetha Bai Sulake brings sculpted colour and floral surface work to BFW Day Two
At the 27th edition of Bangalore Fashion Week, GOLDEN SUTRA by Geetha Bai Sulake presented a collection shaped by fluid drape, bold colour and floral detailing. The looks moved between dark romance, bright volume and textural embellishment.
Bengaluru, 16 October 2026 — GOLDEN SUTRA by Geetha Bai Sulake brought a palette of black, orange, purple and blue to Day Two of the 27th edition of Bangalore Fashion Week, with silhouettes that shifted between sleek lines and full-volume skirts. The collection carried a strong evening mood, tempered by movement, transparency and surface detail.
One look paired a black halter-style bodice with a long, fluid skirt, sharply interrupted by a vivid red floral appliqué placed across the front. The contrast of matte black and saturated red gave the ensemble a graphic, sculptural quality, while the high slit introduced a sense of motion within the length.
Another dress was built around an expansive orange skirt that fell in soft layers from a fitted bodice densely worked with multicoloured embellishment. The upper body held the eye with its concentrated texture, while the lower half opened into a broad sweep of colour, creating a clear balance between structure and volume.
A third look moved into a darker register, with a printed black-and-white draped gown that wrapped close to the body before falling to the floor. The asymmetry across the neckline and shoulder line gave the silhouette an off-kilter elegance, while the print softened the severity of the black base.
The collection also explored a cooler, more theatrical palette through a blue gown accented by sculpted floral forms in white and deeper shades of purple along one side. The clustered surface work added dimension and a sense of controlled excess, turning the dress into a study in texture as much as colour.
Across the showcase, the label worked with contrast as its central device: fitted against flowing, dark against bright, smooth fabric against raised floral detail. The result was a series of looks that felt dressed for the evening, yet carried a handmade sensibility through their embellishment and shape.
