VD Diamante by Venuka Wickramaarachchi presents sculpted softness at BFW Day Two
At the 27th edition of Bangalore Fashion Week, VD Diamante by Venuka Wickramaarachchi brought a study in pastel precision, sheer layering and sculpted tailoring. The collection moved between fluid drape and structured contour in pale pink, ivory and blush tones.
Bengaluru, 16 October 2026 — VD Diamante by Venuka Wickramaarachchi’s Day Two showcase at the 27th edition of Bangalore Fashion Week unfolded in a palette of blush, ivory and soft pink, with each look balancing delicacy and structure. The collection moved through eveningwear and tailored separates, held together by a refined sense of surface detail and clean lines.
One look paired a fitted, embellished column silhouette with a translucent cape that fell in a soft wash of pale blue and pink, creating movement around the body. The surface work read as intricate and light-catching, while the slit in the skirt introduced a sharper line beneath the fluid layer.
Elsewhere, tailoring took a more angular direction. A pale ensemble with padded shoulders, a high neck and a cinched waist was cut with a sculptural precision, the silhouette sharpened further by a dark belt at the centre. The result was disciplined and modern, with the pastel base softened by the strong shoulder line.
A white look brought a finer, more intricate register to the collection, combining a high-neck lace bodice with long sheer sleeves and a streamlined skirt. The contrast between transparency and opacity gave the outfit a delicate tension, while the fitted shape kept the focus on proportion and finish.
The collection also introduced a lighter, layered composition in pink and white, with a softly structured vest-like top, pale trousers and beige boots. Across the show, the designer worked with flowing overlays, fitted waists, high necklines and elongated skirts, using pastel colour and careful construction to create a polished, contemporary mood.
