DALMA by Shalini Ganguly presents a fluid study in colour, print and surface work at BFW Day Three
DALMA by Shalini Ganguly brought layered silhouettes, sheer movement and bold colour contrasts to Day Three of the 27th edition of Bangalore Fashion Week. The collection moved from ivory translucence to graphic cape dressing and embroidered red tailoring.
Bengaluru, 17 October 2026 — DALMA by Shalini Ganguly’s showcase at the 27th edition of Bangalore Fashion Week on Day Three unfolded as a study in contrasts, balancing lightness with structure, and fluid drape with graphic surface work. The collection moved across ivory, yellow, blue, red and black, with each look carrying a distinct mood while remaining within a cohesive, contemporary language.
A pale ivory gown set the tone with a soft, sweeping silhouette that moved away from the body in layered panels. The neckline was detailed with dense embellishment, while the front slit introduced a sharper line beneath the airy fall of the fabric. The look carried a sense of movement and ease, its translucence and volume giving the dress a weightless quality on the runway.
Elsewhere, the label turned to sharper colour and a more directional attitude. A bright yellow mini dress was paired with a floor-length cape printed in a newspaper-like graphic pattern, creating a striking contrast between body-skimming simplicity and dramatic outer volume. Black boots anchored the look, adding an urban edge to the otherwise playful palette.
Blue and silver brought a richer, more ornate register to the collection. One ensemble combined a short robe-like silhouette with metallic sheen, intricate patterned panels and matching knee-length bottoms, creating a layered effect that felt both ceremonial and contemporary. The styling kept the focus on texture and print, with the reflective surface work catching the runway light.
A final red look introduced a more architectural line. The long tunic-like silhouette featured cape sleeves and a clean vertical fall, interrupted by a white inner layer and ornate gold embroidery concentrated near the hem. Across the collection, DALMA by Shalini Ganguly used colour blocking, surface embellishment and controlled drape to create looks that felt polished, expressive and distinctly runway-led.
