MEGHBALIKA by Sailee Maiti brings layered colour and craft to BFW Day Four
At the 27th edition of Bangalore Fashion Week, MEGHBALIKA by Sailee Maiti presented a collection shaped by sheen, embroidery and rich drape. The looks moved between metallic pink, saffron, teal, gold and deep navy with a strong handcrafted sensibility.
Bengaluru, 18 October 2026 — MEGHBALIKA by Sailee Maiti’s showcase on Day Four of the 27th edition of Bangalore Fashion Week unfolded in a palette that moved from metallic pink to saffron, teal, gold and deep navy. The collection carried a distinct handcrafted mood, with surfaces that caught the light and silhouettes that balanced ease with ornament.
One look featured a lustrous pink mini dress with a gathered halter neckline, cinched at the waist with a gold belt and finished with a fluid, lightly structured shape. The sheen of the fabric gave the piece a polished, evening-ready quality while keeping the silhouette youthful and direct.
Elsewhere, the designer worked with heavier surface detail and layered drape. A dark, embroidered ensemble was paired with a dense gold fringed yoke and a sheer red cape that fell in long panels, creating movement around the body. The styling brought together texture, transparency and metallic threadwork in a single frame.
Another look turned to a vivid orange base, worn with a teal drape across the torso and a striking feathered headpiece in white and coral tones. The ensemble combined printed fabric, bold head styling and a soft, trailing scarf, giving the collection a ceremonial edge without losing its contemporary rhythm.
The final visible look in the selection paired a deep navy skirt with intricate floral embroidery, a gold blouse and a mustard-yellow drape that extended into the silhouette like a sash. Across the collection, MEGHBALIKA by Sailee Maiti worked with contrast, layering and surface richness to build a vocabulary that felt rooted in craft and shaped for the runway.
