Abhi Singh brings ornate surface work and flowing silhouettes to BFW Day One
Abhi Singh’s Day One showcase at the 27th edition of Bangalore Fashion Week moved between pinks, ivory and purple, pairing embroidered jackets and tunics with fluid skirts, shararas and veils.
Bengaluru, 15 October 2026 — Abhi Singh’s collection at the 27th edition of Bangalore Fashion Week was built around surface richness and a measured sense of movement. Across the looks, embroidery carried the narrative, gathering in dense floral and geometric motifs that sat against soft, flowing foundations.
The palette moved through dusty pink, blush, ivory and deep purple, with each look shaped to let the embellishment read clearly. A pink ensemble combined a high-neck embroidered jacket with a sheer, dotted drape and a full skirt, while another look placed a floral-embroidered tunic over an ivory, flared lower half for a lighter, more restrained finish.
Several silhouettes drew from traditional occasion wear, but with a contemporary clarity in proportion. A cream ensemble featured a straight tunic with scattered floral embroidery and a wide-legged bottom, while a red-and-ivory look used a veil edged in bright embroidery to frame a long tunic and narrow trousers beneath. The effect was layered without feeling heavy, with transparency and texture working together.
Purple introduced a deeper note into the collection. One look paired a richly embroidered tunic with voluminous satin-like trousers, creating contrast between the fitted, embellished upper body and the fluid lower half. The embroidery across the front and hemline gave the ensemble a jewel-like density, especially under the runway lights.
Throughout the showcase, Abhi Singh kept the construction elegant and the ornamentation precise. The collection relied on long lines, soft drape and considered layering, allowing colour and craft to remain the focus. It was a presentation rooted in textile detail, where each ensemble carried its own balance of embroidery, movement and sheen.
